Attended the Oxford Alumni Weekend in Rome. Cosy appartment, and then Somerville was allowed up late for a Somerville dinner: he got on well with the nes president, Jan Royall. Both of us got to the day of talks at the Cavalieri hotel, good lunch there, and on the Sunday Pembroke was allowed into the Ambassador's lunch. Met the physicist who gave one of the talks

Next day on to Norcia, severely damaged in the 2016 earthquake. people there were so grateful we were visiting their city.

| A Michelin starred restaurant here in the Palacio Senecate- wow!, what flavours . And the staff adored us & some pigs to play with |

and a visit to the local Chocolate Factory was sweet.

| The padre enjoyed his wine tasting at Cambrai Vineyard, near Montefalco -we run wild in their play area. Then, exhausted, we missed this barrel car in town! | ||||

We then moved on to Perugia, and stayed in Castillo de Monterone

A long walk round Perugia- after those escalators! - was rewarded by a bun. Good food in Castiglione. Missed the train in Gubbio!! |

And the final stay was the Altarocca Wine Resort, Orvieto.

Wondrous views over the countryside & smart room. Buns in San Gemini and in Orvieto were worth getting cold for! |

Then back to Moraira, and a few days later Giuseppe arrived- from his shop window in Orvieto! My, we will have to behave ourselves now
