We arrived on the black sands- literally, it stuck to the paws! - of Potosi after an exciting 2 hour boat ride from El Salvador. Customs men kept us waiting for an hour.

Then drove on to Grenada, staying in El Patio, a wondrous place but with no management |

However the staff did a good breakfast!. Explored the town, parts very touristic, and drove out to the Masaya Volcano -terrifying!Toured the Pueblos Blancos |

Finally by ferry to Ometepe Island and a lakeside cabin, a tour of the island, before the ferry back and a short drive to the Costa Rica border |
